What is included?

Universal Audio lists audio and MIDI recording, a piano roll, third-party VST3 and AU plugin hosting, Oxide Tape and a selection of UAD tools. AU is a macOS format; check that your existing plugins have versions compatible with your system.

LUNA Studio is a separate paid option with additional extensions and advanced features. Start from the Free feature list when deciding whether the DAW covers your workflow.

Installation and accounts

LUNA is installed and authorised through UA Connect. You need a Universal Audio account and a linked iLok account; a new iLok account can be created during setup. UA Connect must remain installed.

Universal Audio recommends 16 GB RAM or more and SSD storage for sessions. Read the current system requirements for supported operating systems and drive formats, then follow the official installation guide.
