Alive: Find Your Ableton Projects Without Opening Every Set

Alive is a free, open-source Windows application for cataloguing Ableton Live projects, plugins and samples. It reads Live sets so you can inspect a project’s contents before opening it in Ableton.
More than a folder full of “final” versions
According to the developer, Alive shows tempo, key, Live version, tracks and plugins, with arrangement previews to help identify a set visually. It can group versions of a project and keep notes and tags attached to the project folder.
The practical attraction is recall. A filename may not explain why you stopped working on a track, but a short note such as “keep the second bass variation” can make the next session much easier to start.
A Windows utility, separate from Live
Download the archive from the author’s GitHub Releases page, unpack it and run Alive.exe. The documented requirement is .NET Framework 4.6 or later, included with Windows 10 and 11. Alive is a standalone utility, not a VST plugin or Max for Live device.
You can inspect the source and documentation in the Alive repository. The project is distributed under the MIT licence.
